IN BEE'S WORDS

"This song was born from all of those late-night road trips in college. In this particular case I had played a show to about thirteen people who were way more interested in drinking than listening to me. At the time I was dating a guy who went to another college, and after the show I just threw my guitar in my truck and drove straight to see him. I love how the song keeps building through the second verse, echoing the anticipation.

"My two favorite lines in the song are Forty dollars let's see what that'll do/Large coffee, half a tank, and some nicotine chews and If I hit traffic I'll get out and run. Those two lines just seem to wrap up what those late night road trips are all about."

THE FORGE FACTS

We had a pretty good idea what we were looking for in this song in capturing that longing you have when you just have to see that certain someone and you can't wait a second longer. When we first ran this song through Suno, though, it was way too bright and cheery. We had to adjust the prompts several times to get that grit and night time tension we were looking for, but I think we found it. With elements of rock and blues as well as both modern and classic country, we are excited to have Run to You be the first single for Bee.

RUN TO YOU

Clock on the dash says 3:38
I pull off this dark interstate
Cold is a shock as I open the door
See my breath in the air, head for the store

Hold my skirt down as i run inside
I woulda changed if i'd been clear eyed
Trucker told me "hey girl you look fine"
Rolled my eyes and went straight to the line line

Forty dollars let's see what that'll do
Large coffee, half a tank, and some nicotine chews
Hurry back to the truck, in the cab I'm gone
Haven't seen you in oh so long

I've gotta run run run run to you
I need to be with you, you know just what to do
I've gotta chase chase chase my foolish heart
You've always been the one right from the start

Speed limit isn't really my concern
Time is short I got rubber to burn
Not really sure I should be doing this
But I'd do anything just for your kiss

Pictures of you running through my mind
Heart's beating fast no time to unwind
Last time I saw you was way too long
Dont know how my feelings got so strong

Clocks ticking now I'm racing the sun
If I hit traffic I'll get out and run
Turn on your street almost lose my head
There's nowhere I'd want to be instead

I've gotta run run run run to you
I need to be with you, you know just what to do
I've gotta chase chase chase my foolish heart
You've always been the one right from the start

I've gotta run run run run to you
I need to be with you, you know just what to do
I've gotta chase chase chase my foolish heart
You've always been the one right from the start
I've gotta run run run run
I've gotta run run run run
I've gotta run run run run to you

YOU'RE SO PETTY

I'm an American girl, free fallin' from the sky
I'm running down a dream, hey I'm learning to fly
You told me I was your honey bee but you were just jammin me around
Now I'm a refugee from love but I won't back down – hey!

Don't do me like that pretty baby don't come around here no more
Stop draggin' my heart around or you'll wind up on the floor
Hey you got lucky you didn't have to see my bad side
Now I'm off into the great wide-open stand back and watch me ride - come on!

You don't know how it feels when you wreck me from the start
You tell everyone "Here comes my girl" then you stab me in the heart
The waiting was the hardest part but now I'm ready
To say I'm a free girl now and... you're so petty

I heard you had a breakdown, I heard you lost it all
I need to know right now was it me who caused your fall
I changed the locks and I'm so over this little fling
Stopping to smell all the wildflowers yeah it's good to be king - let's go!

You don't know how it feels when you wreck me from the start
You tell everyone "Here comes my girl" then you stab me in the heart
The waiting was the hardest part but now I'm ready
To say I'm a free girl now and... you're so petty

Now you're just a face in the crowd
The silence is so loud
Like a full moon fever
Hey you know you're so bad
You know I'm not sad
I'm not your believer

You don't know how it feels when you wreck me from the start
You tell everyone "Here comes my girl" then you stab me in the heart
The waiting was the hardest part but now I'm ready
To say I'm a free girl now and... you're so petty
You're so petty

IN BEE'S WORDS

"There's hardly anyone in the world cooler than Tom Petty, and this is just my way of paying tribute to one of the greatest legends in rock history. Tom was never the flashiest rock star, or one to crave the limelight like some others, but I always felt like he was there with me, like a comforting warm blanket whenever I needed it."

THE FORGE FACTS

This song is a love letter from me to one of my favorite all time musicians, Tom Petty. When I came up with the idea to weave Petty song titles into a cohesive song, I made a list of some of my favorites, and as I was looking at them the songs just started jumping off the page at me. It became very evident that this was going to be a break-up song. We tried our best to make it sound like it could have been a Heartbreakers song musically, and Bee really shines with showing her attitude and sass.

IN BEE'S WORDS

Most of us probably know how it feels to get dumped for someone else, so I love how this song takes the perspective of "What does she have to offer that I don't?" and then transitions at the end to "You know what? I am good enough and can move on." And there are a lot of lyrical lines that I love in this song, but my favorite is probably Can she drive that old stick shift like she's running from the cops... not that I have ever done that or anything!

THE FORGE FACTS

Sometimes it's a struggle getting Suno to understand what we are trying to achieve in a song, and it takes prompt after prompt and generation after generation to get close to what we are looking for. This is not one of those songs. Suno understood the assignment pretty much from the start, taking the 3/4 time instructions and creating a song that was very, very close to what I was hearing in my head.

Two particular lines in Because I Can are shout-outs to people we know. The Tuscaloosa line is a reference to our Alabama family, while the line Can she work a drill, and a hammer, and every dang tool is most definitely a description of my wife Jennie!

BECAUSE I CAN

The first time I caught your eye
You made me complete
You'd take me out til dawn
Never thought you'd cheat

You looked me in my eyes
Said"I love you" every day
Thought I was a lucky girl
That you were here to stay

But you told me we were through
That this was the end
A fool to believe your lies
Said she was a friend

It breaks my heart every time
I see you dancing slow
Don't know why I still cry
Was a fool not to know

What does she give to you?
What can she do that I can't do?

Can she cook like her mama, and grandma before that
Can she spell Tuscaloosa, can she fix a flat
Can she drive that old stick shift like she's runnin' from the cops
Can she run in high heels but prefer her flip flops
Can she walk like an angel through the fires of hell
Can she love you like a devil, put you under her spell
Can she do all those things
Because I can

All this time guessin
What drove you away
What I couldn't give
Why you had to stray

So much there to haunt me
Thought you had left my mind
Now she's in your arms
How could I be so blind

What does she give to you?
What can she do I can't do?

Can she drink all that whiskey and be fine the next morn
Can she tell you what Saturdays in the fall are for
Can she stand up for herself when you're being a fool
Can she work a drill, and a hammer, and every dang tool
Can she look like a model in a ball cap and jeans
Can she host dinner parties dressed up like a queen
Can she do all those things
Because I can

What does she give to you?
What can she do I can't do?

Can she move on without you and go find her heart
Can she look for new love and find a fresh start
Can she walk in a room with her head held high
Can she smile with a sparkle that attracts every guy
Can she rest in the comfort of family and friends
Can she know joy in the little things she's got in the end
Can she do all those things
Because I can
Because I can
Yes I can

MY ADDICTION

Sittin' in a beer-stained corner booth round midnight
Sippin' on somethin' strong that's already warm
Lookin' up every time that door creaks open
Hopin' its you bringin' that storm

You've called so many times to say you loved me
You've called so many times to say we're through
You've called me every name that you can think of
But if you called right now id go runnin' straight to you

I wish it was whiskey, I wish it was pills
I wish it was something that gave me the chills
When I get this way I wish I knew just what to do
Tell me why my addiction had to be you

Drivin' home on this darkened two lane highway
Radio has the nerve to go and play our song
It's been three damn days since I heard you whisper to me
It's been three days since I've been where I belong

I wish it was whiskey, I wish it was pills
I wish it was something that gave me the chills
When I get this way I wish I knew just what to do
Tell me why my addiction had to be you

I can't think
I can't eat
I can't feel a thing
From my head to my feet

I wish it was whiskey, I wish it was pills
I wish it was something that gave me the chills
When I get this way I wish I knew just what to do
Tell me why my addiction had to be you
Tell me why my addiction had to be you

IN BEE'S WORDS

When I hear this song I just have that feel like I am in some dive bar approaching closing time with a song like this playing on the jukebox. It just has such a nostalgic feel. And the lyrics - if you've ever had that person in your life, and you know maybe they aren't the best for you, but you just can't quit them... then yeah, you get this song...

THE FORGE FACTS

We were really going for that old school retro 1970s feel on this song and I think we nailed it. It sounds like something that could have been released in 1974. Waylon Jennings and his songs were a big inspiration for this one.

IN BEE'S WORDS

Such a powerful, powerful message in this song. My hope is that anyone who has been in any sort of abusive relationship, be it emotional, physical, or any other type, will take some solace and encouragement from this song.

THE FORGE FACTS

Very proud of both this song and my wife for her message through this song. If it gives just one person who is going through or has gone through some sort of abuse some encouragement, then everything we have done with the Bee Brightly project will have been well worth it.

RIDE THE LIGHTNING

Shoulda got out of there its clear
Shouldn't have wasted that whole entire year
Shouldn't be beatin' myself up
Yeah that was his job but I know I've had enough

Gotta get my spirit back on track
Gotta look ahead cause I ain't ever goin' back
Gotta see the worth inside of me
Just take a breath and remember now I'm free

When it storms and it will storm I will do what it takes to stay warm

I'm gonna ride the lightning
I'm gonna hold on tight and never let it go
I'm gonna sing with that thunder
I'm gonna be stronger than I could ever know

Need to just feel myself again
Need to see where that sparkly smile has been
Need to call all my long lost friends
They're the ones who will be there in the end

But when it storms and it will storm I will do what it takes to stay warm

I'm gonna ride that lightning
I'm gonna hold on tight and never let it go
I'm gonna sing with that thunder
I'm gonna be stronger than i could ever know

I'm gonna be just myself
I'm gonna meet someone else
I'm gonna live this life and spread my wings so wide

I'm gonna ride that lightning
I'm gonna hold on tight and never let it go
I'm gonna sing with that thunder
I'm gonna be stronger than i could ever know

I'm gonna ride that lightning
I'm gonna hold on tight and never let it go
I'm gonna sing with that thunder
I'm gonna be stronger than I could ever know

SHOOT THE MOON

Sunsets always ease my mind
Drove my truck all the way to the county line
All that orange in the sky
Stared out the window til the stars hung high

Radio played those lonesome songs
Tried to figure where it all went wrong
How we ended up on the road to hell
Stumbled over our pride then tripped and fell

Nights on your front porch, days in your arms
Lost in your blue eyes, lost in your charms
We were so blinded, couldn't see the truth
That devil was coming to claim our youth
The end of our record was coming too soon
That's what we get for trying to shoot the moon
Shoot the moon

There are three sides in every scene
Mine and yours and the one between
Can't tell which story is the one that's right
All three of them seemed to cause a fight

Coulda been the times you left me all alone
Coulda been how the whiskey put you in that zone
Coulda been my jealousy came up at last
Coulda been how I never even dealt with my past

Nights on your front porch, days in your arms
Lost in your blue eyes, lost in your charms
We were so blinded, couldn't see the truth
That devil was coming to claim our youth
The end of our record was coming too soon
That's what we get for trying to shoot the moon

The end of our record was coming too soon
That's what we get for trying to shoot the moon
Shoot the moon

IN BEE'S WORDS

This song is about those relationships that seem so intense at the time, but neither one of you are ready for that deep of a relationship yet. It's bound to end at some point, and you realize it whether you want to admit it or not. There is not finger pointing - just a realization that it's time to end things.

THE FORGE FACTS

On Shoot the Moon we wanted to make a track that sounded like West Texas - big, expansive, cinematic, isolated. Think something along the lines of something Zach Bryan would have written if he lived in far West Texas instead of Eastern Oklahoma. We think Suno did a great job translating our prompts into a song that almost haunts you. Bee's voice is as expressive and emotive as it ever has been.

IN BEE'S WORDS

Sometimes you think you're ready for that adventure, to go out on your own and tackle the world all on your own. But then you get out there and you just miss home. Maybe home is a place... or a person... or an actual house. But the second you realize that's where you need to be, then you do everything you can to get back to it.

THE FORGE FACTS

Jennie cried the first time she heard this song, so of course it had to make the album! After all of the trips she has made to and from Michigan and Kentucky, she has made that drive through Memphis and Texarkana more times than she can count. We were aiming for that Red Dirt, Texas music feel to this one, and we think we got it. If you close your eyes and try real hard, you might even be able to hear Pat Green singing along with Bee...

TAKE ME BACK TO TEXAS

When I drove right past that state line
Didn't have a second thought
Time to spread my wings out wide now
To find that freedom that I sought

First few weeks I managed alright
Even with the shadows in my life
But then the nights all just got longer
The cold would cut me like a knife

Started seein' apparitions
Thought the stress had finally won
But your ghost was just relentless
No more livin' on the run

So take me back to Texas
Between the Red and Rio Grande
Take me back to Texas
Get me to that lone star land
I just can't take the heartache
Not being there feels so wrong
Take me back to Texas
Take me back where I belong

Packed all my stuff to leave that next day
Your photo watched me through the night
Took one quick glance there in the rearview
Headed south come mornin' light

Bout the time I got to Memphis
Felt that burnin' in my soul
Anticipation shot right through me
One more state to make me whole

Reached Texarkana after midnight
Wiped a tear right off my cheek
Knew I'd see you with the sunrise
Knew I'd find that peace I seek

Take me back to Texas
Between the Red and Rio Grande
Take me back to Texas
Get me to that lone star land
I just can't take the heartache
Not being there feels so wrong
Take me back to Texas
Take me back where I belong

Take me back to Texas
Between the Red and Rio Grande
Take me back to Texas
Get me to that lone star land
I just can't take the heartache
Not being there feels so wrong
Take me back to Texas
Take me back where I belong
Take me back to Texas
Take me back where I belong

THINGS YOU'LL NEVER SEE

Woke up this morning to the text that you sent
At 3:27 asking where I went
Last night at that party and why your truck has a dent
The same color as my boot

You dumped me once then came back wanting to chat
Just to see you all cozy with that blonde wearing that
Dress that covered less than a rodeo hat
That got trampled right out the chute

You say you just want my hand
Let me tell you now just where you stand

Not rolling my eyes when dad tells his jokes
Willie and Snoop givin' up their tokes
Staying right where I'm at when I see a snake
That little ol' tattoo I got on spring break
Getting ready to go out and not being late
Saying yes when you ask me out on a date
You never know what life brings
But honey these are just a few of the things
That you'll never see

Now you come to me beggin' for just one more chance
Said she's an old friend and just wanted one dance
But I bet the location of your starched denim pants
Is on the floor right next to hers

So take this as a warnin, and take it to heart
If I ever see you slitherin' around these here parts
We'll see what my aim's like and buddy that ain't smart
Or there's voodoo or a curse

You say you just want my hand
Let me tell you now just where you stand

My pawpaw having breakfast that's not eggs and bacon
Riding with my bestie and not gettin' out shaken
Wakin' up next to me with my hair all crazy
Me having a day off and not feeling lazy
The Tide and Volunteers in harmonious living
You and me jumping in leaves next Thanksgiving
You never know what life brings
But honey these are just a few of the things
That you'll never see
These are just a few of the things
That you'll never see

You'll never see me crawlin' back to you either
That's for sure
Go on now
Shoo!

IN BEE'S WORDS

I hope you can tell through my singing in this song how much fun I am having with it! I just love how the lyrics bring out my sassiness. This song originated with someone asking if I had any tattoos, and I replied, "None that you'll ever see!" Sometimes the best songs just take one line to get them started, and they just go from there. So go on and listen to the song now... SHOO!

THE FORGE FACTS

This was another song that Suno was able to get what we were hearing in our heads pretty much right off the bat. But for some reason the first generations Suno wanted her singing this in front of a live audience! Guess we will have to do a Bee Brightly live album in the future...

The line The Tide and Volunteers in harmonious living is an ironic one, given that my mom was an Alabama fan while my dad is a die-hard Tennessee Vol. We are considering maing different versions for all of the college rivalries out there, so if you have one you would like to hear let us know!

IN BEE'S WORDS

When you find that true love, sometimes you just know it. It doesn't matter what other people say, or the distance between, or your past. Nothing can come between you and the one you love. Nothing.

THE FORGE FACTS

This is such a simple little song, but its simpleness and sparse arrangement really lets the message and Bee's emotions shine through. Sometimes Suno has a tendency to overproduce and add instruments that weI didn't ask for, but this one it got right from the start. We wrote this after listening to some Townes Van Zandt, and if we could write a song that's even 10% as good as his we would consider this project a success.

AMARILLO

Interstate 40 headed east from Amarillo
Got your picture taped in front right on the wheel
It's the one from the booth down at the state fair
It's the one with that kiss that I still feel

They said that we don't belong together
They said we'd be better off apart
Sometimes that doubt can leave me runnin' empty
But the truth is buried deep down in my heart

When the grass no longer grows here
When the skies are no longer blue
When the world falls all around us
I'll still be here loving you

I can feel you right beside me in the midnight
Eighty-two Chevy vinyl seats against my skin
The past can lay a burden on the strongest of souls
The past can tell us more than where we've been

Used to feel like I was always in a scuffle
And winnin' wasn't ever in the cards
But with you I feel like I've got a fightin' chance
We're gonna find us a place among the stars

When the grass no longer grows here
When the skies are no longer blue
When the world falls all around us
I'll still be here loving you

When the grass no longer grows here
When the skies are no longer blue
When the world falls all around us
I'll still be here loving you
I'll still be here loving you

PICKUP LINES

Did it hurt when you fell from heaven like you did
Your hand looks heavy, can I hold that for you
You must be tired 'cause you've been running through my mind
I'm not a genie, but I'll make your dreams come true

I've got my library card, so I'm checking you out
Do you have a name, or can I call you mine
Are you a modem, 'cause I'm feeling a connection
Are you a parking ticket, 'cause you are so fine

I've heard them all from the east to the west
But the pickup lines that I like best

Are Chevys and Fords waiting in a row
Rams and GMCs will do just fine, don't you know
Toyotas and Nissans, I'm not being picky
If your pickups aren't trucks, then it gets kinda sticky
I made the rules and I made them by design
If it's not a truck, I don't need your pickup lines

I'd say God bless you, but he already has
Step away from bar, girl, you'll melt all the ice
You must be a bank loan 'cause you have my interest
I lost my number, if I could have yours that would be nice

I've heard them all from the east to the west
But the pickup lines that I like best

Are Chevys and Fords waiting in a row
Rams and GMCs will do just fine, don't you know?
Toyotas and Nissans, I'm not being picky
If your pickups aren't trucks, then it gets kinda sticky
I made the rules and I made them by design
If it's not a truck, I don't need your pickup lines

Yeah, I've heard them all from the east to the west
But the pickup lines that I like best

Are Chevys and Fords waiting in a row
Rams and GMCs will do just fine, don't you know?
Toyotas and Nissans, I'm not being picky
If your pickups aren't trucks, then it gets kinda sticky
I made the rules and I made them by design
If it's not a truck, I don't need your pickup lines

IN BEE'S WORDS

What a fun song! You just can't resist tapping your toe, can you? All the pickup truck people out there sing along!

THE FORGE FACTS

One of the many reasons we chose country music as the primary genre for Bee was being able to show her sass and sense of humor through her music. Country is one genre now where artists are not only allowed but encouraged to show their fun, humorous side, and this song is the epitome of that. It was a blast to write, it's a blast to sing along to with the windows down, and we hope you enjoy it as much as we have.

IN BEE'S WORDS

Lord have mercy do I love me some Texas! This is my love song to my home state, to all of the wonderful and diverse things we have to offer from people to places to things.

THE FORGE FACTS

The most difficult part about this song was trimming it down! There are so many wonderful, iconic items about Texas we could have mentioned, but I think we did a good job of hitting the high points, especially music. We intentionally left out all colleges and sports teams - don't need any infighting here!

For some reason Suno kept insisting on having Bee screaming during much of the chorus (maybe it was mad we left out Janis Joplin?), so much so that we nicknamed her "Screamin' Bee." Once we finally got her settled down we ended up with a song that's fun and easy to sing along to. Hope you enjoy it!

TEXAS STATE OF MIND

Whataburger tastes so right, Dr Pepper and those Friday night lights, Big Bend is always a sight, and there's ZZ Top
Billy Bob's and the Alamo, Pat Green on your radio, don't forget we got Chip and Jo, we ain't ever gonna stop

Bluebonnets and Luckenbach, Tito's Fritos and that Shiner Bock, Waylon and Willie were born to rock, tacos a la carte
Hutchins barbecue and H-E-B, friendliest people that you ever will see, and if you don't agree with me, well just bless your heart

It's a Texas state of mind
Always something great for you to find
If you can't see that, then mister you must be blind
It's a Texas state of mind

George Strait and Beyonce, Gruene Hall, Pat Mahomes, and Stevie Ray, Marfa lights when you're out that way, Big Tex at the fair
J.R. and King of the Hill, float the river and just chill, go to Buc-ee's and get your fill, and that Sixth Street flair

Kilgore Rangerettes, Palo Duro Canyon sunsets, Tex-Mex is as good as it gets, love all those rodeos
Farm to market roads so cool, dip your toes in Barton Springs pool, Texas country music rules, we put on a show

It's a Texas state of mind
Always something great for you to find
If you can't see that, then mister you must be blind
It's a Texas state of mind

It's a Texas state of mind
Always something great for you to find
If you can't see that, then mister you must be blind
It's a Texas state of mind
It's a Texas state of mind

Come and take it, y'all

DANCEHALL

Said goodbye to the sun and the daytime
It's time for me to get on out tonight
Dressed to impress all the cowboys
Wanna move across the floor in the neon light

I don't need a map to get directions
My lone star highway goes there every day
The parking lot is packed full of pickups
These boots about to dance the night away

Take my hand let's dance now
Lift me up and let me soar
The band tonight is hot
Come on now take your shot
Oh how I love it when I'm spinnin' round the floor

The night is dark but so inviting
It reaches out, to come and play
I can't resist the chance to move my body
I wanna sway my hips the country way

Some say the devil he did tempt me
I swear, it's the other way around
When I smiled he came a-walkin' over to me
Turned and left him with his jaw on the ground

Take my hand let's dance now
Lift me up and let me soar
The band tonight is hot
Come on now take your shot
Oh how I love it when I'm spinnin' round the floor

I danced 'til my boots they couldn't take it
I danced 'til I sparkled and I shined
When I left I was all by my lonesome
One day I'm gonna leave with a man that's mine

So take my hand let's dance now
Lift me up and let me soar
The band tonight is hot
Come on now take your shot
Oh how I love it when I'm spinnin' round the floor
Yeah I'm in heaven when I'm spinnin' round that floor

IN BEE'S WORDS

If you've ever been out dancing on a Texas Friday night, you can totally relate to this song. There is just something about sliding across a packed dancefloor when the band (or DJ) is in the groove, grinning from ear to ear, feeling like anything is possible. Let's dance!

My favorite lines in this song might be some of the favorite of all of my songs. Peak sass!

Some say the devil he did tempt me
I swear, it's the other way around
When I smiled he came a-walkin' over to me
Turned and left him with his jaw on the ground

THE FORGE FACTS

An ode to all of those Texas dancehalls out there, the first version of this song left something to be desired. But the arrangement was... just fine. We revived it a few months later and gave it all new instrumentation going for a Turnpike Troubadours vibe, and it instantly brought the track to life. Then we gave it another makeover just before the album release, tightening it up and cutting almost a minute off the running time.

IN BEE'S WORDS

When I sing this song I always picture two people who maybe society thinks shouldn't be together. They have known each other so long, and have always felt that attraction, and now they have finally acted on it, consequences be damned. Maybe they will flame out, maybe they will last forever, but for at least this moment in time there is nowhere else they would rather be than with each other

THE FORGE FACTS

Finally on the thirteenth track, Bee gets to show her soul. We wrote this inspired by those old country soul classics with a little bit of modern Chris Stapleton thrown in for good measure. The first version was really good... but... in the bridge Bee sounded exactly like Joss Stone. We aren't here to copy anyone, so we revised the track, and it made the bridge and final chorus even better. Yeah we said it. Look for a lot more of the soulful side of Bee in upcoming releases.

IF YOU'LL BE MY KING

How long I have known you, tell me how long has it been?
Watched you grow from a boy into a man and everything in between
We ran around with the same crew, you were always teasin' when you talked to me
But I was always lookin' up to you, just happy to know that I was seen

Half the time I hated you, the other half I dang near lost my mind in love
But you were always chasin' after those girls who had nothing to give
Now here we are, for once in the same place, and I'm not gonna let you go
I promise you, I'll love you pretty baby for as long as you live

If you'll be my king, I'll be your queen
If you'll be my Clyde, I'll be your Bonnie every day
If you'll be my thunder, I'll be the lightning on your darkest night
If you'll be my king, I'll love you every single way

When I saw you come around that night, didn't know you were back in town
You took me by surprise, took my breath, took me all around the world
I wasn't expecting my heart to be captured without even putting up a fight
But there is no doubt in my mind that I will be forever your girl

If you'll be my king, I'll be your queen
If you'll be my Clyde, I'll be your Bonnie every day
If you'll be my thunder, I'll be the lightning on your darkest night
If you'll be my king, I'll love you every single way

The way you look at me, it brings me to my knees, I want this every day
The way you make me feel, how can this be so real, that's just why I say

If you'll be my king, I'll be your queen
If you'll be my Clyde, I'll be your Bonnie every day
If you'll be my thunder, I'll be the lightning on your darkest night
If you'll be my king, I'll love you every single way

ALL I WANT IS YOU

Some girls wanna be the queen of England
Some girls wanna be Tik Tok stars
Some girls wanna have diamonds on their fingers
Some girls wanna drive big Mercedes cars

Some girls wanna run a corporation
Some girls wanna travel near and far
Some girls wanna run the whole dang country
Some girls wanna hit up every bar

All those things might be fit for a king
But all I want is just one thing

I want you on dance floor, running out your Mama's door, boy you better hold me tight
I wanna feel you kiss my nose, snuggle watching TV shows, oh you do it oh so right
I wanna kiss you in the moonlight, try to stay up all night, chase you all around in my dreams
I wanna be with you on top of mountains, splash around with you in fountains, cheer for all our favorite teams
Cause all I want is you

Some girls want to shop for fancy outfits
Some girls want their coffee every day, venti latte please
Some girls want to ride and rope on horses
Some girls want to be actresses on TV

All those things might be fit for a king
But all I want is just one thing

I want you on a dinner date, boy I know you won't be late, come on take me out on the town
I wanna curl up in a big ol' chair, we don't need to go nowhere, I don't need a formal gown
I want to watch the snow fall, get excited when you call, show you off to all of my friends
I wanna sit with you on Sunday mornings, ignore all my daddy's warnings, know this feeling never will end
Cause all I want is you

All those things might be fit for a king
But all I want is just one thing

I want you by the bonfire, swinging on an old tire, falling over laughing out loud
I wanna ride around the town together, get stuck in some stormy weather, feel like I am walking on clouds
I want to order pizza in, feel the goosebumps on my skin, every time I see you walk by
I wanna sing with you to all the oldies, get some barbecue at Goldee's, know that you're forever my guy
Cause all I want is you
Yes all I want is you

IN BEE'S WORDS

I wrote this when I was 19 and head over heels in puppy love. It represents those innocent times in our lives, when everything is perfect and right with the world, and you feel like you can do anything. As we get older it's important to revisit those times of innocence every now and then, whether we call it nostalgia or guilty pleasures or being a kid again.

THE FORGE FACTS

This is by far the most "pop" of Bee's songs on this album, and it represents a starting point for her music career. It gives the listener a point of reference - a way to see her growth in her music. We were looking for that early 2010 Taylor Swift sound on this one, and Bee and Suno really nailed it right out of the gate. Roll those windows down on a nice day, sing along, and let all of your cares fly out that window.

IN BEE'S WORDS

This is a song about someone feeling stuck in one of those small towns in America, unsure as to whether their place is there where they grew up or if it's time to leave and see what the rest of the world has in store for them. For me it is both heartbreaking and optimistic, and kinda encapsulates the duality of life that we tried to capture on Gemini. A great way to end my first album.

THE FORGE FACTS

The inspiration for this song came from driving Highway 70 between Vernon and Plainview last year. Seeing some of the houses and buildings crumbling by the highway and trying to imagine the stories those structures held. Suno did a great job capturing sonically what we were trying to convey through the lyrics.

We also have a dual meaning with the title. We wanted it to convey someone who was planning on "leaving town" while also calling the actual place a "leaving town."

LEAVING TOWN

Sun down, leavin' town
Ain't nothin' left here anyway
Sun rise, fire in my eyes
Guess I'll stick around for just one more day

They call this a leavin' town
Everyone's gone when the chance comes round
They got college calls or oil field hauls
All except the ones we left in the ground

Everyone's everyone else's ex
Got the message comin' through loud and clear
I broke every heart or mine was torn apart
By every ghost I've ever known here

Sun down, leavin' town
Ain't nothin' left here anyway
Sun rise, fire in my eyes
Guess I'll stick around for just one more day

Think you're a Ferrari boy
But you're runnin' round here with a Chevrolet heart
Better make that leap or dig down deep
Or its all gonna end before it even starts

Highway 70 hurts my soul
Walls fallin' down by the side of the road
Fade to black no comin' back
Grave stones for all those dreams of old

Sun down, leavin' town
Ain't nothin' left here anyway
Sun rise, fire in my eyes
Guess I'll stick around for just one more day

They call this a leavin' town
Maybe someday my chance will come around
Same day 'til then again and again
Hopin' that my life's not lost but found

Sun down, leavin' town
Ain't nothin' left here anyway
Sun rise, fire in my eyes
Guess I'll stick around for just one more day
Sun down, leavin' town
Ain't nothin' left here anyway
